After our stint in southern California, we headed out on the open road to Las Vegas, Nevada. I’m not going to lie, we put some money into those infernal machines and never saw it again :(

We did have some fun during the one full day we were there, however. We drove around the strip, and I mean we drove around it, purposefully avoiding it. Something like 8 full lanes across, both ways, on a number of streets perpendicular to the strip as well as the strip itself, of course—and all lanes are packed. We visited a number of the huge-normous casinos, walking throughout their main level of casino pits, random shops (including an Apple store in Caesar’s Palace), and tempting restaurants. I have a few shots taken, once again, with my iPhone. And yes, that’s a roller-coaster around, through, and underneath of the New York, New York Hotel & Casino.
