Mission Inn

While down in southern California for Christmas, we went to see the lights of Mission Inn.

It was actually on our last night there, the same night that Nicole’s cousin got engaged—while taking a carriage ride around Mission Inn, no less. It was actually Nicole’s dad, Dan, who suggested we go check out the lights of Mission Inn. He’s a very big people person and he was actually hoping to catch his nephew in the act of proposing, which Nicole and I knew wasn’t the best of ideas, so we kept him occupied.

These are a few of my iPhone snapshots from that trip. The whole building was basically covered in lights—especially the front of it, of course. All the palm trees in the vicinity were done up as well. They even have old-school, Disneyland-style, animatronic carolers (which are actually a bit menacing).
