For Christmas this year, Nicole and I got each other our new 27” iMac computer. We’ve been eyeing one ever since they came out and we’ve been saving and saving and it was finally time.

We thought we had bought it with plenty of time for it to arrive just before we left on vacation for the holidays, but a few days later it appeared it wouldn’t ship from China until the 23rd and, only traveling on business days which I assume excludes holidays, wouldn’t arrive here until the 27th. I called an Apple rep and asked if there was anything they could do, she was extremely helpful but she said there was nothing they could really do to expedite the shipment. And yet, the very next day it said that the shipment would arrive within the coming week—way before we expected it the first time around.

At any rate, it’s home now. I’m watching The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien as I write this, in fact. It’s big. Surprisingly big. Officially it is Nicole’s computer, but I also have an account on there and it actually spends most of its time acting as our television thanks to technology like Hulu.
